Heggies Vineyard Estate Chardonnay is selected from older blocks of the estate vineyard, characterized by shallow topsoils strewn with quartz and low yields of intensely flavoured grapes.

The wine is a blend of three Burgundian Chardonnay clones, handpicked and whole bunch pressed. The juice ferments with wild yeasts in new and seasoned French oak barriques, followed by 10 months of maturation.

Pale green gold, Heggies Vineyard Estate Chardonnay has stone fruit flavours, sorbet like texture and lively minerality, with fresh citrus acidity to finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
